Counseling for Life Transitions

Throughout our lives, we’re often faced with unexpected changes and the effects can have serious consequences in our lives. Change is a normal part of life but there are times when a change is due to a major life transition and our ability to cope under those circumstances could be beyond our skill level. The cunselors as Restoration Cunseling provide a process to work through what these life changes mean. Unanswered questions such as “How can I move forward when I’ve suffered this catastrophic loss?” or “WHat will we do now that ur children have left home?” can be answered and implemented into how our future is experienced and lived, moving foward.

SOmetimes when we’re faced with changes, we look for ways to incorporate this into the same life we’ve been leading. In situations where there is a major life transition, our values=based counseling can help you decide how the life you’re currently leading will adapt to this profound new shift. This can lead to many questions for people as to who they are and how they personally identify themselves. In situations where adult children are moving out, for instance, you will always remain a parent, even though your circle of influence has shifted with this new arrangement. You’re no longer responsible for caring for your children in your home so you may now be faced with a lot of idle time to fill, and the voids that are left may leave you feeling lost or unproductive. The counselors at Restoration Counseling can work with you to identify these issues and any other adjustment issues as you move forward in a way that enhances your lifestyle and relationships.
